Past Work

Sports Trading Card Finder
This dedicated to optimizing the browsing experience for Sports Trading Cards. In order to help enthusiasts effectively find cards they are looking for, we designed an innovative Finder module on both desktop (dWeb) and mobile web (mWeb) platforms. A key component of the Finder modules enabled users to find cards by players and sets, emphasizing intuitive layouts and user interactions. The project also introduced new pages, such as a 'View All Players' list and a 'Player Landing' page, necessitating collaboration with the Design Systems team to optimize layout, search, and filtering capabilities.

The overarching goal was to deliver a seamless and user-friendly experience that appeals to both novice and seasoned trading card collectors.
Order Tracker at 7-Eleven
The Order Tracker project aimed to improve the user experience for tracking orders on a website. The initial design included a bulky card with an image and a vertical tracker, which consumed too much space and didn't effectively convey additional information. An initial solution with a banner on the shop page proved as most users didn't notice it during testing.

The goal was to streamline the order tracking process by making the tracker more noticeable and accessible.

The process involved examining previous decisions, analyzing user data, and conducting a personal review of the current experience. A workshop with the design team and competitive led to several new concepts. The final solution involved creating a separate page for the tracker, using animation to draw attention to a compact card component, and adding a notification dot on the shop tab to guide users.
Help Center at 7-Eleven
The project aimed to enhance the user experience of the Help Center in the 7-Eleven mobile apps, focusing on the 7Now and 7Rewards apps. The main objectives included reducing the number of customer service agents involved in resolving issues, improving approval ratings by 30 integrating a chatbot to streamline processes, and automating customer experiences for refunds. The team employed the Double Diamond design process, encompassing Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver phases. This involved conducting a gap analysis, collaborating with the Zendesk team to gather data, organizing workshops with product, and crafting a high-level information architecture to identify and address potential problems.

In the final solutions phase, the Help Center was divided into 'Information' and 'Toolbox' sections. The 'Information' section featured structured articles and revamped FAQs with videos, images, and text, users to access information easily. The 'Toolbox' offered immediate help with options to report issues, request refunds, or chat with a customer agent, incorporating a bot for efficient guidance and support. Quick guides provided shortcuts to frequently sought information. User tests demonstrated positive feedback and improvements, further enhancements were identified for future iterations. Overall, the project effectively achieved its goals and laid the foundation for continuous advancements in user experience.

A Few Reviews

Sana brings to any project passion, creativity, and a sense of confidence. She is well-versed in design processes and knows how to apply them under pressure. No matter what stage her project is in, her work is meticulous. From user journeys and flows to final high-fidelity comps and prototypes, she takes the time to ensure her work is concise and easy to understand.

As her manager at 7-Eleven, she immediately impressed me during her first week on the team. She tackled the difficult task of re-imagining 7-Eleven’s in-app help center. It was a tangled mess of back-end systems pieced together, paired with a dated and ineffective front-end. She brought fresh ideas, a strategy, and an empathetic approach to understanding the struggles 7-Eleven’s customers have. She partners well with product, tech, and stakeholders building the trust necessary to move projects forward with design-driven solutions. She knows how to present to all levels of the organization and confidently leads workshops to bring out ideas.

She is a great team player and can bring creative energy to any team.
Daniel Lovas - UX Manager at 7-Eleven Inc.
Clever, solution-oriented, efficient, on-point, consultative - these are some of the terms that come to mind when I think about Sana. I had the pleasure of having Sana work for me for many years and she was someone I turned to when handling a complex UX design project or even when having initial pre-sales discussions with prospects. She understood the important objectives and could help prioritize and produce designs that were delightful and well accepted. She could explain her decisions and work to incorporate any feedback. I look forward to her success and would love to work with her again in the future.
Anand Shah - Founder at Ignite Solutions
Sana is really wonderful to work with -- we've worked together over several years and several projects. Sana is a strong UI designer, with a good balance of having thoughtful opinions, while also listening to and delivering on business needs. Additionally, Sana is a great communicator, which helps when you are working cross-functionally across different stakeholders. I hope to work with Sana again soon.
